It is time for the Saturday, KPQG workshop that usually follows the KPQG membership meeting. You are welcome to come to the open-sew and enjoy quilting/sewing, have fun with others, and snack on goodies. Please note: there are no KPQG Saturday Workshops in November, December, or January.

For this Saturday workshop, the location is at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library (KHCPL), Main, Downtown, 220 North Union Street, 46901.
Also, we are sorry that at the main library location, there will be no sewing machines, pressing stations or cutting mats available for you to use. Please bring your own sewing machine, iron and pressing mat, and cutting mat and tools, if you need to use them.

PROGRAM: This is a time to honor our previous presidents whose leadership helped keep the guild strong and vital for 25 years. We will hear their stories about their year in office. Some may share their president’s quilt made with the blocks the guild members gave them to show their appreciation for the outgoing president’s commitment and dedication to serving as president.
We will, also, celebrate our 25 years with cupcakes and punch from Rozzi’s Catering.

Fiber Arts Dyeing — FREE Interactive Demonstrations, Saturday, September 15, 2018
Saturday, September 15, 2018, KPQG members Evie Fell and Susan Burns present Fiber Arts Dyeing — Interactive Demonstrations outside at the KHCPL South Branch, 1755 East Center Road, Kokomo, 46902.
Drop in at any time between the hours of 11:00 – 3:00. No need to register.
Dress for a mess and learn how to do four dyeing techniques: 1) air brushing, 2) marbling, 3) direct painting, and 4) embellishments, such as stamping, resist dyeing, etc. A sample of PFD fabric, generously donated by Pam Dance, will be provided for your learning experience.

Quilt and Traditional Rug Hooking Exhibit
The Frankfort Quilt Guild presents their Quilt and Traditional Rug Hooking Exhibit on Friday & Saturday, September 14 & 15, 2018, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
The exhibit is in the Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery at the Frankfort Community Public Library on the 2nd floor; an elevator is available. The library is located at 208 W. Clinton Street, Frankfort 46041.
Demonstrations are throughout both days; there are door prizes and a Dresden Plate raffle quilt.
