KPQG Community Service

KPQG offers our members community service projects. We are making quilts for the following:

Kokomo Police Department:  The police department needs several quilts of any size. The police department works together with the Child Protective Services and the Kinsey Youth Center. They remove as many as 100 children from babies through teenagers from their homes a year. Several quilts of any size are needed.

Healthy Families, a program of the Howard County Family Service Association:  Quilts are needed for children up to 3 (three) years old and 75 – 100 quilts a year.

Jackson Street Commons Veterans Home in Kokomo:  The residents need twin-size quilts and items to make their room more home-like, such as pillows, pillowcases, wall hangings, table toppers, etc.

The quilts for the Police Department and Healthy Families are collected at the November KPQG membership meeting and presented to the recipients.

The quilts and items for Jackson Street Commons Veterans Home can be brought to any KPQG membership meeting and given to the KPQG Community Outreach and Service Projects Chair, who delivers them to the Jackson Street Commons home.
