Laura joined the Quilters Guild of Indianapolis, in 2007. She entered her first guild show that year and was awarded a first place in the applique bed quilt category. She was hooked! She won some ribbons at a few regional shows, but the more notable awards came over the past few years when she started making miniature quilts. (a) Laura’s miniatures have won first place awards at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas and (b) at the AQS Paducah Quilt Shows, all of Laura’s entries from 2014 to 2018 received awards from honorable mention to first place.
