“Sleep In Your Own Bed” Quilt Retreat – a Fundraiser for Kokomo Urban Outreach

The quilt retreat is hosted by the “Shine Brighter” project team with Leadership Kokomo through Ivy Tech and the Chamber of Commerce. Indiana Wesleyan University is donating use of the room. After expenses, all funds will benefit Kokomo Urban Outreach.

Friday & Saturday, June 14 – 15, 2019 | 10:00 – 6:00 | Indiana Wesleyan University, 1916 East Markland Avenue, Kokomo, IN 46901

REGISTRATION:  KPQG Members  $40.00 | Non-members  $45.00 includes both days. Please pay Julie Huval, Chair of the Shine Brighter Project Team. Registration must be paid no later than Tuesday, May 28, the evening of the KPQG meeting.

Both days: (1) A Friday workshop and the Saturday demos begin at 10:30 after everyone arrives and has breakfast. (2) You are welcome to bring and work on your own sewing and/or quilting projects(s) without participating in the workshop or demos. (3) There is a Breakfast Bar; you may bring snacks; and lunch is on your own. (4) There are Door Prizes, too!

Bring you sewing machine and your sewing/quilting supplies. You may leave your machine overnight in a secure room.

FRIDAY, June 14:

Workshop:  Mini Fabric Barn Quilts Workshop | Julie Huval, instructor

There are three barn quilt designs from Moda Bake Shop; make one or all three. Everyone in registered receives the pattern free even if you only work on your own project(s). The free pattern and supply list is to be e-mailed or passed out at the KPQG May 28, 2019 meeting to the registrants.

Workshop Demos:  Two workshop demos (1) a Two Different Bindings Demo and (2) a Westalee Quilting Demo | Julie Huval, instructor
